Miguel and I love Star Wars so much, like so much…
We actually pushed the start of our business date by 4 days so that our anniversary would land on May 4. You know, like “May the Fourth be with you?” Yes, seriously.
It’s been three years since then and for our third anniversary, on May 4, 2021, we invited you all — the heart and soul of Truman House — to put on your best Star Wars gear and join us for an intergalactic celebration. There really is no Truman House without you, so we want to celebrate you as well as our anniversary!
To show our appreciation, we gave away prizes for coolest costume (Thank you San Fernando Brewery and Knead4dough). We had our photo area set up with big cut outs of your favorite characters, like R2-D2, Darth Vader and Stormtrooper given to us by Kirk and Sherwin from Brewyard Brewery.
And, of course, no Truman House party is complete without signature cocktails! Sam, Jonas and Eric were behind the bar bringing you The Intergalactic Cocktail.
If you’re feeling like “Dang, I should’ve gone!,” you should’ve, but also: Don’t worry! We’ll be celebrating our anniversary — aka “May the Fourth be with Tru(man House Tavern)” — for years to come. Hopefully there’ll be more and more Star Wars spirit as the years go by.
